Easter is fast approaching. And as the first really long weekend of the springtime, many of us will gather with friends and family where food and wine is bound to be part of the agenda!
With so many offerings on the table, from traditional fare to lighter vegetarian and vegan options, pairing these meals with wine can be challenging. While some people don't mind whether the wine goes with the food, we know from experience that if you put some thought into what your serving, it makes both the flavours of the food shine through and the wines taste so much better! It's not complicated, or expensive to do, just takes some education and experience to help you understand how magic this can be.
So, on April 17th we have our Sommelier Ken Bracke leading an Easter Wines tasting where he'll discuss some choices from the red, white and rose wine categories, and suggest certain food pairings to match with them. We'll also have some nibbles for you to try pairing wines with so you can see for yourself how this can make or break a meal.
Always fun and informative, our sit down tasting classes are limited to 16 people, so register early, bring a friend and some favourite menu ideas with which to challege Ken!
Happy Easter and Happy Spring!
