In my last e newsletter, I talked about Rhubarb and how to use it in cocktails with gin and vodka. Hope you tried some! Well, how about doing something new with……….BEER! With so many varieties on the market today, why not kick it up a notch and experiment making delicious cocktails using beer. Here’s a few to get you started!
THE JRK (Julep, Radler, Kentucky Cocktail)
2 oz. Stiegel Radler (grapefruit)
2 oz. Bourbon
¾ oz Simple Syrup
5 large mint leaves – smacked and ripped
Pour the Radler in a tall glass, shake the remaining ingredients in a shaker with ice. Pour over the Radler and garnish with some more mint leaves and a paper straw.
STRAWBERRY & KEYLIME BEER COCKTAIL
1 oz Lime Vodka
½ oz Cointreau or Triple Sec
3 oz Fruili Beer (strawberry)
½ oz simple syrup
Pour all ingredients into a Shaker. Shake well for 15 seconds. Strain and Pour into a pretty Martini Glass. Garnish with a Lime wheel to serve.
