Winters in Edmonton are long.  And cold.  Really cold. 

Not everyone can jet off to a sun destination for a week to escape it's wrath.  So , for you hardy types sticking around, we thought we'd warm it up a bit in February.  

Sunny Spain and Portugal came to mind.  Not only known for it's warm weather and beaches, the wines and food from the Iberian Peninsual are sure to raise the temperature of your mind, body and soul!  

From steely dry Sherry and White wines, to mouth quenching Roses, bold and ageworthy Reds, and sweet succulent Port, Spanish and Portuguese wines over-deliver!  Some of the best priced wines in our market today hail from these regions.

Along with the wines, the food is very tempting too.  Think of spicy chorizo sausage, plump, ripe olives, sun-ripend tomatoes, fresh seafood and delicious baked goods.

Our goal is to drive the chill away and introduce you to some fine wines, sherry and Port while snacking on light, tasty tapas.

We're sharing the evening with our friends at Winnifred Stewart Association.  Their mission is "Empowering People. Inspiring Dreams"  by supporting individuals with developmental disabilities so they can enjoy full lives in an inclusive , supportive community.

So please, come in from the cold.  Support a worthy cause.  Enjoy some new flavours and tastes from Sunny Spain and Portugal and let the warmth and sunshine radiate!
