Heartland Director's Cut Shiraz -2015 Langhorne Creek, South Australia

Tasting Notes: "From the wunder down under - Ben Glatetzer"! This is Heartland's flagship wine. The precise balance is the calling card of the 2015 vintage. The aromas are surprisingly diverse for such a young wine. Dark fruits envelope spice and herb characters that evolve in the glass. Directors’ Cut Shiraz is enhanced by judicious oak that gives a framework to the generous fruit. The lingering finish is typical of this wine and predicts a long and distinguished future. Pairs well with BIG red meat!

Tasting Notes: I know... few have ever heard of the grape, Pais - but it is considered the oldest grape in Chile and has just recently being rediscovered. This is a beautiful and polished expression. Red current fruit with an earthy tobacco and spice laden palate. Fine and firm tannins, graphite minerality. Excellent value and Fairtrade!

Amalaya Blanco de Corte Torrontes/Riesling 2014 Argentina

Tasting Notes: Amalaya translates to “hope for a miracle” in the indigenous language of the now extinct tribe – the Calchaqui. Intense gold in colour with tints of green. On the nose this wine is intense and complex with aromas of citrus and grapefruit typical of Torrontes. Delicate and silky on the palate with great freshness and crisp acidity on the distinctly mineral finish. 95 pts Decanter Magazine
