Gooderham & Worts Eleven Souls  Canada

Tasting Notes: With it being Canada's birth month, I'm choosing a favourite Canadian whisky of mine. If you've been hesitant to try Canadian whiskies, this one is definitely sure to win you over. Gooderham & Worts has an inspiring story on the back of the bottle about William Gooderham adopting 11 children whose parents died during a migrating voyage. This delicious bottle is a tribute to those families and has been finished in 11 different barrels. The abv sits at 49%. It's got beautiful colour and flavour making it a perfect little Canadian to bring to your celebrations. Cheers!

JD Honey sits at 35% abv and is great over ice and even better in a delicious hot toddy. Boil 3/4 cups water, add 2oz of JD, 2 tsp lemon. Garnish with a cinnamon stick. Alberta Premium 20 Year Whisky  Canada

Tasting Notes: I'm sure most whisky lovers have heard Jim Murray's Whisky Bible has recommended Alberta Premium's Cask Strength Whisky. I'm picking Alberta Premium's 20 Year Edition because I think this makes more sense for the average whisky drinker. This bottle is just as special as the Cask Strength Edition as it's been aged for a whopping 20 years. It also has a more palatable 42% abv for the average whisky drinker compared to the Cask Strength Edition which is 65.1% abv. The best part about the Alberta Premium 20 Year's actually still available at Aligra! Cheers
